Motorcycle Insurance & Requirements
Owning motorcycle insurance is a requirement in Georgia. There is a minimum compulsory liability of:
- Bodily Injury Liability Limit for Individual: $25,000
- Bodily Injury Liability Limit for Every Person in Accident: $50,000
- Property Damage Liability Limit: $25,000

Licensing and Registration
To operate a motorcycle legally in Georgia a motorcycle endorsement is required. Applicants must be 17 years of age and if under age 18 you must have parental consent plus a Certificate of Attendance (Form DS-1) must be presented. You must successfully complete a motorcycle examination which includes special road signs test, a special road rules test and an actual driving test on a motorcycle. You must also pass a vision test, the eye test may be waived if you have passed one within the past year.

Helmet Laws
Helmets must be in all riders possession and worn by riders under 19 and worn by novice riders in Georgia. We strongly advocate the use of helmets at all times for all riders and passengers to protect from injuries.
